Well it sounds simple enough but there is one problem called web traffic. If you don’t have a lot of traffic you’re not going to have any earnings. Here are a few steps to make money online in internet marketing. For many websites… especially new sites, one of the fastest, surest ways to drive traffic to the site is pay per click search engines. But you can spend a lot of cash using PPC advertising very quickly and you don’t even know if you will convert any traffic to sales.

I am going to show you two major steps to generate free web traffic. One of the very best ways I have found to drive traffic with my marketing skills is blogging. Blogs are usually updated frequently and search engines love new information so they visit blogs often.

You want to post on your blog often and put a link to your website or page that you need the spider to crawl. Many times google will visit blogs daily, and takes snapshots of everything there, and follows links from the pages, and takes snapshots of those pages! Make changes to pages that you want to get ranked higher, and then “help” Google to find those updated pages. You can use a ping service that will help search engines find your blog quickly. It’s simple and very powerful method to boost web traffic.

I’ve been learning about blogging as I go along, you learn from your experiences over time. There is a good course on blogging called RSS Exposed, it is a great course to help you learn about blogging. The book is less than 100 pages and it is stuff you can use immediately.

A second and very powerful way to drive traffic is with ezines, I write articles and post them on article directories.

Articles are very powerful way of getting one-way links to websites. Articles help people solve problems and they also send visitors to your website which is the first step to make money online. And most of the time the visitors are very targeted traffic. Write articles often and publish them on many different article directories, make sure to find the best directories. I mean the ones with page rank 5 or better that has high traffic volume. Writing articles helps grow your backlinks over time for long term success.

Whether you have your own products or promoting some other affiliate programs using these traffic techniques will generate free traffic for your websites. As with any website you must have traffic, if you plan on being a  profitable business.
